Vespers at Lourdes is a substantial encounter with the Living God–experienced primarily in Eucharistic adoration, chanted psalms, and profound silence – supplemented by intellectual formation and fraternal merrymaking that is worthy of the demanding schedule of thriving young professionals of the Twin Cities. We offer a solemn, authentic, and professional environment for young Catholics to grow in Faith and Fellowship.

The History of Vespers at Lourdes

Vespers has been able to continue for many years due to a major outpouring of grace by the Holy Spirit, the support of Our Lady of Lourdes, and the efforts of many dedicated men and women. If you are interested in getting involved in helping plan Vespers or want to sign in the choir, please contact us.

In an order to respond to the call to evangelize both those in and out of the Church, a group of young professionals in Minneapolis gathered together at Our Lady of Lourdes parish. This young adults group knew first and foremost that in the chaos of our world’s technology and advertisements surrounding us at every turn, an organized opportunity to gather as a group in silence to pray was of immense importance. Secondly, recognizing that if the faith is to be something more than an emotional feeling that is communicated to others, it needs to be rooted in the mind.

This night needed to be a substantial encounter with Truth that is worthy of the precious time of a young adult who is pressed with the commitments of work and family.
